Landlords pleased by increasingly positive news.

September 17, 2009

Lots of local landlords and property owners are increasingly pleased by the positive news coming from various sources.

A recent spate of good news from the stock market and the Royal Institute of charted Surveyors RICS coupled with slightly more relaxed lending criteria from some lenders have without a doubt had a very positive impact on UK house prices and the sentiments of landlords and those bitten by the Buy to let bug.

Some of the property owners who were reluctant landlords are now starting to consider selling their rental stock this could of course have a positive impact for rising rents.

No one can predict the future and some may feel that a more cautious approach is the best course of action, while other landlords are considering now as the best time to increase the size of their portfolios. We can only continue to monitor the key indicators to decide if it is a suckers rally or truly the start of the next period of sustained growth in UK property prices.
