According to data released yesterday from one of the UK’s big mortgage providers it is the fourth consecutive monthly rise in UK house prices, since April they have risen incredibly, by over 7% in just a few months. This dramatic rise has compensated for the previous falls and given home owners, investors and landlords the first comforting news for some time.
The rise has been driven by a supply shortage and some pent up demand, others believe that there has been a sudden increase in cash rich property investors calling the bottom of the market. With some agents in the south east reporting asking prices smashing all previous records, it seems the UK’s publics love affair with property is a long way from a divorce even if there has been a lovers tiff in recent times.
