Loughborough attracts 20million pounds of funding

The area around the station is to attract 20 million pounds of funding, for general transport based improvements. This comes as Loughborough and its university plan to assist in the preparations of team GB for the up and coming 2012 London Olympics. The University and Charnwood Borough Council will work closely with each other and there many partners to make sure that every aspect of the preparations are completed. The athletes can look forward to some top class facilities and care, to help them reach their maximum potential in the 2012 London Olympics. This will bring further work to the area in the form of construction works and help local businesses.
